The 50 Most Beautiful Ponies is a My Little Pony interactive fanfiction website - a beauty pageant that relies solely on the participation of the My Little Pony Online Community to advance. Voters chose which ponies would be on the list of 50. Those 50 ponies were then narrowed down to 10 Finalists. These Finalist ponies compete in a number of competitions - including Swimsuit, Question/Answer, and Talent rounds - until only one pony remains, The Most Beautiful of the 2001-03 contest.
