General Information:

What is the Art Awards?:
The "Art" classification of the My Little Pony Awards honors the artistic endeavors of the My Little Pony Community. "Art" is a generally broad term. In context of the MLP Awards, "art" work is anything made by a community member in the likeness of, or with the purpose of advancing, the My Little Pony medium. However, the Art Awards do not honor custom, website, or fanfiction works, as those types of works are honored in their own Awards classifications.

Eligibility:
EVERYONE who has produced a piece of art is eligible to compete in these art categories of the My Little Pony Awards. No exclusions will be made. There is NO LIMIT to the number of art pieces each person can submit.

The Art Awards honors artwork already circulating in the MLP Community. Work is not to be created with the specific purpose of competing in the Awards.

Frequently Asked Questions [FAQ]:

How many pieces of art may I submit to the Awards?
You may submit an unlimited amount of work to the Awards.

Do I have to host my art work on the web for it to be considered by the Awards?
No. In fact, the Awards requires that all submitted work be uploaded to the Awards' own server in the event that it becomes nominated in any category.

Can I submit work that is not my own to the Awards?
Absolutely. In fact, the Awards encourages you to submit any and all work that you feel is deserving of an Echo. When submitting someone else's work, however, you must include the creator's email address - the Awards will contact this person to obtain required consent to include their work.

Why is the Panel's work allowed to compete in the Awards?
The Awards is not a common "contest." The My Little Pony Awards is an organization aiming to honor the best work in the online My Little Pony Community. Excluding the work of theoretically some of the best Artists in the Community would result in a skewed and inaccurate representation of the best work out there.

How can we be certain that everything in the Awards is on the up-and-up?
The Awards has implimented a unique set of checks and balances to assure that nominees and winners deserve their status. We have Vote Counters. These Counters receive every vote sent to the Awards. We have 5 Panelists that cast their own votes, who are elected by the people.
