What is a Vote Counter?
Vote Counters do exactly what their title implies; they count votes. Vote Counters are very important, because their implimentation ensures the integrity of the Awards remains intact. A Vote Counter receives every email sent to the Awards, be it a Panelist choosing the top 20 nominees in each category, or a community member's votes for the awards winners. By receiving all the information involved in the Awards process, vote counters ensure that all results are accurate and that nothing has been falsified.
Vote Counters are still allowed to vote in the Awards themselves, and their work is also eligible to compete.
*IMPORTANT*: Vote Counters are sworn to ABSOLUTE SECRECY. They do not speak to anyone about the emails they receive. Vote Counters do not even inform Panalists of vote tallies.
