Sirtha Athrin, my Andorian Pony
COOKIE
|
|
|

Sirtha is the name of a character I play in a Star Trek Fanfilm. She's an andorian, a race evolved from insects, and that sports blue skin, white hair and antennaes. Based on a G3 classic drawing that can be seen on MLP boxes. She was done in China black ink, pantones alcohol-based markers and white pencil and pen.

Pencil on plain paper, edited/ cleaned on Photoshop. My personal, single favorite piece. Ponies with goatees and axes rock.

Strawberry Reef
HOLLOWZERO

This was submitted to a "Design a G3" contest. I liked the name Strawberry Reef, so I went with it.. It's just Strawberry splashing through waves at a beach. =) I used pens, markers, and watercolor paint.

Tropical Paradise is inspired by a silk painting of three Hyacinth Macaws I saw in a book. I used colored pencil and ink for outlines.

Colored with prismacolor pencils. The idea for this was just to have a close up drawing of one of the ponies and I wanted to have a lot of focus on the eyes. Glory really fit for this drawing.

Colored with prismacolor pencil, pony design by Sugared Roses. Here I was going for more realistic looking clouds, and I like how the dark shading came out.

Colored with prismacolor pencils. Another one of my favorite drawings. I was going for a retro kind of look with the background. The darker circles were done with a metallic color pencil so the original drawing would shine.

Colored with prismacolor pencil, pony designs by Sugared Roses. Detailed coloring with a nice simplistic background. I’m happy with how the interaction came out between the two.

Colored with prismacolor pencils. Since there were bright colors being used, I chose grey for the background for a balance. I was also really going for giving some personality to the ponies here.

Made with prismacolor pencils. My main concern with this drawing was to get all the details (hat, symbol, scarf) accurate since I don’t have a Wigwam of my own. I also wanted to use good highlights on this drawing and using a white color pencil over the main color is my way of getting the high lights.

Pony's Pondering
SILLY BILLY
|
|
|

This gel pen art piece is created for Dearest Tragedy. In reality the pony is Moonstone, but I seem to forget the unicorn ponies' horns all the time *LOL* Anyhoo, the scene is inspired by a scene in Disney's Pocahontas. I thought it'd be so cute with a thoughtful pony, so here it is...

I made this piece for Starlover2003. She requested a romantic scene with a grown-up Baby Ribbs and Baby Moondancer (with Hula Hula's tail), so that's what I did (except I forgot Moonie's horn!) Added some darkness, a full moon, twinkling stars and swirling leaves. Once again my medium is gel pens, and they have been particulary beneficial for the moons, stars and leaves.

Colored with prismacolor pencils. Pony designs by Silvered. This drawing was really structured before I started coloring it. I wanted a backwards S curve to it with their eye contact guiding you through the drawing.
