The below nominated works were created using pencils, inks, or other related mediums.

nominees: 5; you rank: all

Swan Princess Pony
ANNIE MSSON

Made with markers. A medium I hardly ever use. Still doing details and stuff is always fun :)

Sirtha Athrin, my Andorian Pony
COOKIE

Sirtha is the name of a character I play in a Star Trek Fanfilm. She's an andorian, a race evolved from insects, and that sports blue skin, white hair and antennaes. Based on a G3 classic drawing that can be seen on MLP boxes. She was done in China black ink, pantones alcohol-based markers and white pencil and pen.

Glory
KAMLADOLLY

Colored with prismacolor pencils. The idea for this was just to have a close up drawing of one of the ponies and I wanted to have a lot of focus on the eyes. Glory really fit for this drawing.

Egypt
QP42

Violet Unicorn
SUNDROP

Created using colored pencils.

Beachcomber
CARPENTER

This work was commissioned by halloweengirl, using pencil and colored pencils.

Strawberry Reef
HOLLOWZERO

This was submitted to a "Design a G3" contest. I liked the name Strawberry Reef, so I went with it.. It's just Strawberry splashing through waves at a beach. =) I used pens, markers, and watercolor paint.

Hour Glass
KAMLADOLLY

Colored with prismacolor pencil, pony design by Sugared Roses. Here I was going for more realistic looking clouds, and I like how the dark shading came out.

Milky Way
KAMLADOLLY

Colored with prismacolor pencils. Another one of my favorite drawings. I was going for a retro kind of look with the background. The darker circles were done with a metallic color pencil so the original drawing would shine.

Mommy and Baby Hour Glass
KAMLADOLLY

Colored with prismacolor pencil, pony designs by Sugared Roses. Detailed coloring with a nice simplistic background. I’m happy with how the interaction came out between the two.

Seashell and Bubbles
KAMLADOLLY

Colored with prismacolor pencils. Since there were bright colors being used, I chose grey for the background for a balance. I was also really going for giving some personality to the ponies here.

Silvered and Top Speed
KAMLADOLLY

Colored with prismacolor pencils. Pony designs by Silvered. This drawing was really structured before I started coloring it. I wanted a backwards S curve to it with their eye contact guiding you through the drawing.

Ponies in Pencil
SUNBEAM

What better things to sketch than all the pretty ponies!
