Why should you be a Panelist?
I have been customizing for three years now and feel I've gained quite a lot of experience and knowledge about techniques and execution. Customizing is something I enjoy immensely, and I try to encourage and uphold many of the "ethics" surrounding the customizing community in addition to just creating many commissioned items for friends and fellow MLP collectors. Many of these toys are after all nearly twenty years old. I enjoy restoring ponies as much as I enjoy customizing.I believe that anybody can customize... but to exercise discretion and good taste takes much more thought and care. I see a good deal of that within the community, and the My Little Pony Awards is an excellent way to recognize and commend the many good artists out there.

I also have studied art much of my life, culminating in time spent at a private art school. I find ponies to be a particularly challenging and rewarding three-dimensional medium. I recognize that many others have different interpretations on the same basic form, and it's fascinating to me to see the wide range of customs people make. I enjoy looking at and discussing other artists' work with my friends and members of the community, and belong to many of the customizing clubs and groups. I think I would be a good member of the Panel because of the experience I've had, both with creating customs, and being involved in the online community. I would be friendly, open-minded and fair as a Panelist, and it would be an honor to participate.

Daddy Glory

This guy has got to be one of my very favorites as custom daddies go. Normally I am not so sad to see customs go, but I almost didn't want to send him to his new home!! He was made from a very icky daddy mold that had mold, a missing ear and lots of nasty scuffs. I managed to fill in many of the deep marks with modelling compound and then filed down the rough spots. Grafted his horn on and then painted him a lovely flawless eggshell white. It contrasts so beautifully with his vivid dark purple hair. I had trouble making his purple streaks of symbol completely glittery so I created a nice dark metallic purple, and added a glitter silver star. This guy was also quite durable as my daughter knocked him down off the shelf repeatedly. To see more of Daddy Glory, go HERE

Newborn Baby Hopscotch

This little sweetie was another one of my first newborns. I just like everything about her, and Hopscotch has always been a favorite pony. The colors just go together so... nicely. I was very pleased with how she turned out.

Baby Princess Taffeta

Baby Taffeta was the very first Princess Baby I ever made. She was made in summer of 2001, and her new owner actually ordered a complete set! (pics coming soon!) Overall I liked how the tinsel and hair look, but I fussed quite a lot over matching her color. As you can see though, my trouble paid off and she matches mum perfectly.

Newborn Baby Candy

This little treat was so much fun to make. I've actually made two of her, one in the crouching pose, one in the walking pose. I definitely think the walking pose one is my favorite though. To see more of Baby Candy, go HERE

Baby Medley

This was the second pony ever that I created a backcard for. She was a commissioned pony. Her paint matched so perfectly with her mum's and she just looked so happy up there with her. I wanted the symbols to be more precise but glitter is not my forte these days. I had considered Metallic symbols but settled on the glitter instead.

Daddy Quackers

Daddy Quackers was the first successful Daddy custom I'd made. He was quite popular and I daresay I was rather fond of him. I made a second version of him in a different pose a few months after the first one debuted on eBay. He turned out so very nicely, after his body had been bleached and detoxed he was quite bright white. The rainbow hair was a hassle, as most daddy ponies can be to hair, but it was well worth it, and I was quite pleased at how intricate the symbols look. Those were some skinny little lines!!

Newborn Baby Blossom

Newborn Blossom was my first of the collector ponies. So many people overlook Blossom because she is SO dirt common and can be a wallflower at times. But I had a little lavendar dyed bait that I just couldn't quite decide what to do with, so I created a newborn Blossom. I am so glad I left her hair long. So very very cute.

Baby Princess Primrose

Baby Primrose is another one of my favorite princess ponies. the fourthin the Princess Baby series I've done. Her symbol is very very intricate as you can see from the picture. Took a few hours to make just the symbols alone. She turned out so pretty, just like her mum! To see more of Baby Princess Primrose, go HERE

The *Real* Daddy Berrytown

Well, I'd always liked the Berrytowns, but like many of the other MLP collectors I was disturbed that Hasbro didn't make "true" male ponies in the male "Clydesdale" mold. So I decided to make Mummy Berrytown a *real* man. His buyer was allowed to choose what she wanted for his symbol and she chose the tricycle that Baby Berrytown has. I've also made a previous Daddy Berrytown for another friend, and he has the same symbol as the Hasbro Berrytown, the little car. I was rather pleased with how he turned out, although the hair dying process was 3 months in the making. His new owner was VERY pleased too as you can see :) To see more of Daddy Berrytown, go HERE

Baby Princess Tiffany

This little sweetie was the third in my line of Princess babies. She was made from a horrid Baby Bouncy, and I am so pleased with how her symbol turned out. As you can see, I liked her so much I even made a full set of accessories for her, including an appropriately scaled bushwoolie. The only flaw that bothered me a lot was making her symbol fit perfectly against her body. To see more of Princess Baby Tiffany, go HERE
