June 15th, 2002:

Voting has concluded for the Website Awards! Click the "winners" section to see what sites won in each category. If you are new to the Website Awards, however, I encourage you to check out first the Categories, Panel, and Nominees sections linked to from the star-navigation above. [Winners were be posted after being revealed live in Chat]

Eligibility:
EVERYONE who has made a website was eligible to compete in these website categories of the My Little Pony Awards. No exclusions were made. There was NO LIMIT to the number of websites each person could submit.

The Website Awards honors sites already circulating in the MLP Community. Work is not made for the express purpose of competing in the Awards.

Unlike customs, websites can be nominated year and again as long as they stay vital and important.

Frequently Asked Questions [FAQ]:

Can my Website be submitted to the Awards if it's incomplete?
Absolutely. Most Websites are in a constant state of building. As long as your Website is uploaded to the Internet for all to see, the Awards will consider it.

Do winners of the Awards really get Echo statues?
Heck yeah! What would be the point of an Awards organization that doesn't award a real prize? ::wink:: Below is a picture of an actual [but unfinished] Echo statue.

What if my website goes down when the Panel is judging it?
Technical difficulties are bound to happen. If a Panelist sees that your page is down, they will email me, and I will in turn email you. We'll get it worked out ::wink::

Am I allowed to update my website during the course of the Awards?
Yes, you are. However, should your site be nominated in any of the categories, you will not be allowed to alter your site on a large scale. [i.e. completely switching layouts, adding new sections, deleting sections, etc... ] Doing so will disqualify your site.

Why is the Panel's work allowed to compete in the Awards?
The Awards is not a Contest. The My Little Pony Awards is an organization aiming to honor the best work in the online My Little Pony Community. Excluding the work of theoretically some of the best Webdesigners in the Community would falsify with winners of the Awards.

How can we be certain that everything in the Awards is on the up-and-up?
We have Vote Counters. These Counters receive every vote sent to the Awards. We have 5 Panelists that cast their own votes. The Awards has implimented a unique set of checks and balances to assure that nominees and winners deserve their status.
