"the eBay Report" from SkyeSurfer
|
I've participated in a number of pony mailing lists, newsgroups, message boards and the like. I came to realize that after the most common newbie questions ("How do I make a clean a pony", etc) the questions most often asked were those about pony values. "Whats this pony worth?" "How much should I pay for her?" "I paid $20 for Sundance, is that too much?" I realized that while there were some rough guides availible to the public (in the World of My Little Pony book for example), many of them had been around for years, and in my four years of collecting, I'd seen so much change that I knew they must be outdated. I decided something needed to be done, and since eBay, the place most collectors get their ponies, is auction-based, the demand decides the prices. It's like a strange, perfect little universe, as far as values are concerned anyway. So I decided to base my guide on eBay, and get my data by looking at each day's auctions after they've ended, ! and logging the prices into a spreadsheat. I figured I would update the site every month, to prevent it from ever being obsolete, and so the Dynamic Price Guide was born. I thought the site would be better as a newsletter, rather than just a collection of price tables, so I added the other sections of the site, including the Editorials where I get to express my views on things. My favorite part of the site is the Oddities page where I display the weird things I've found in the My Little Pony section the past month. If you've never seen the site before, be sure to browse through the archives and look at the previous months Oddity pages too. :)

"a Guide to the 'New' My Little Pony" from Moon Shadow
|
After seeing the great need for a collector's guide for the 'New' 1997-2002 ponies, I decided to create one myself. A Guide to the 'New' My Little Pony has information on almost all of the 'New' Ponies. They are either separated by 'Normal' or 'Royal' and then divided further into sets where individual profiles can be found. The Guide also contains an up-to-date 'New' Pony News page where information on Hasbro's latest releases can be found. As with all things that are still being released and produced, this site is a work in progress.

"Lost In Ponyland Service" from Lipsy
|
Lost in Ponyland Service is a simple, comprehensive guide to the best of My Little Pony on the Internet.
Lost in Ponyland Service has five major sections that split into more specific subsections so that you can find exactly what kind of MLP website you are looking for - and quickly!
Not only is L.I.P.S. a great place to see new sites, but the L.I.P. Service Bullitin, on the first page of the site, is a great resource to find out when your favorite sites have been updated or something extra-special is occuring in the MLP Community.
You now have permission to clear out your Bookmarks. L.I.P.S. has you covered. ;)

"the My Little Pony Collector's Website" from Lavonia
|
This webpage is basically dedicated to all information on the My Little Pony line. It has been a work of progress of several years. Here are several main features on the site:
Information: Covers all U. S. Ponies, Mail Orders, International, New Ponies, Dream Beauties, Petites, Ceramics, PVC's, Prototypes, the original sketches and MLP information, Fan Clubs, Plushes, Guide to Hooves (country ID), Televsion and the Big Screen, My Pretty Pony, Mint in Package section (covers all U. S. ponies and most other ponies), and even variant ponies and ponies from various countries.
One of the most important aspects of the information guide is that it has built upon photo and information of other collector's as well as my own. I couldn't name all of the people who have contributed (though I would like to), but I am so very grateful to them.
Pricing Guide: Suggestive Pricing for ponies, U. S., International, New Ponies, Mail Order Ponies, etc.
Checklists: Checklists of My Little Ponies, U. S., International, New, Mail Order, etc.
Mint In Package Guide: This is an awesome feature that allows you to see what accessories go with each pony. I suggest this section for anyone who needs an accessory ID.
Lots of links to other My Little Pony sites.
A handy Search, you can search the enire site for whatever you're looking for. You can search for unknown ponies or for anything else.
Other features: Ecards, Cross Reference, Trading and Selling Information, Cleaning and Customizing, Common Terms, interesting places in the My Little Pony Community, Free Images, Poll, Q and A message board, My Little Pony Fakes and more.
