What qualifies you to be a Panelist?
Really, I think no detail or element could argue for my qualification in this category more directly than my own MLP website, CloverFlower Fields. The Fields, as the site is known to its more frequent guests, has existed in one form or another for over three years; in that time, I have learned a great deal about the fine art of web design and maintenance. I began work on the Fields with absolutely no experience in html or in the creation of web graphics; I believe the site's current incarnation demonstrates that I've come a long way since then. ~_^

I code all my html completely by hand; I have *never* used any sort of page builder. I understand the satisfaction of being in control of my website and of tinkering until everything looks right. Also, my experience has given me a taste of a number of free servers and hosts (The Fields and various other sites have given me experience with Geocities, AOL, Tripod, Envy, Angelfire and 50megs among others), so I understand the frustrations inherent in free-host web design, and I now host The Fields at my own paid domain, cloverflowers.com. I've done regular frames, inner frames, templates, all kinds of graphics, tables, image maps, interactive features...you get the picture. I don't delve heavily into java and other more advanced options because I prefer to keep The Fields simple and accessible through different browsers; on that detail, I also test-run each redesign of The Fields on three different browsers and on as many different computers and networks as I can gain access to, just to make sure everything's working. In other words, I take the technical elements of my website seriously.

*deep breath* In addition, I put a lot of stock in website originality. That's why you won't find a collection list or many other similarly predictable features at The Fields. Instead, I put my time into more imaginative, unusual ideas, such as the infamous Fakie Tours, Little Hyper's photo-vacations, The Shrine of TJ (and, within the Shrine, the home of Nicki-pony, TJ's Official Violinist), a forum for sharing pony-related dreams, a large art gallery...again, you get the point, I'm sure. Finally, I don't let outdated portions of The Fields sit and rot; my latest design includes an archive section into which features such as Support Pony Acceptance have been filed.

As far as MLP websites go, I believe The Fields is relatively well-known; also, my four years within the MLP online community have made me familiar with a number of the other larger pony websites out there. Whew! ^_^

CloverFlower Fields

CloverFlower Fields is my own absent-minded little corner of Ponyland. Now showing the benefits of its fifth major redesign, it is neatly organized into four related subsections and has been tested to be compatible with different browsers. It looks best in 800x600 but can be accessed at other screen settings, as well. Graphics, text, photos...everything is my own work unless it has been otherwise noted. Its most popular features include the Fakie Tours (my collection of fakies is beginning to rival my MLP herd), the travels of Little Hyper, and TJ's shrine. However, I urge first-time visitors to poke around for a while, get a sense of how the site works, and see what they can find.

The Shrine of TJ

The Shrine is actually a subsection with The Fields; however, its popularity has earned it a life of its own. It features the divine and all-knowing Big Momma TJ, a My Pretty Pony who has, in The Fields, attained the rank of Resident Goddess. TJ has a number of faithful fans who regularly drop by to say hello or to ask for blessings. The Shrine is interactive; visitors can post in TJ's Book of Questions, and TJ will answer when she has time. Also within the Shrine is another subsite, Nicki-pony's Tower. Nicki's home includes original and adapted MIDI files, an image gallery and more.

cloverflowers

This is the main page of cloverflowers, the overall incarnation of my domain. I'm including it simply as another visual example of my graphic and design work.
