What qualifies you to be a Panelist?
Two things I guess: I'm obsessed with My Little Ponies, and I love websites and the Internet.
It was the Internet that first put me back in touch with my pony love. I remember when the TP was black and pink (though I was too shy to post back then, lol). I remember when ebay.uk was a new thing! The sheer joy of being able to connect with pony people over the Internet has made my online time very special - and yes, I guess I spend too much time attached to my computer now, lol.
I also write for and build websites professionally. I've done this for a while now. I'm pleased (for the most part) with my work. I'm adept with HTML, Dreamweaver, PhotoShop, CSS, and to a lesser extent, JavaScript and Illustrator.
But most importantly, I'm really keen on making websites that the person browsing them will enjoy. I draw on my own experience for that. So my pet hates are things like popups, cursor script plug-ins, unnecessary Flash, and BANDWIDTH LIMITATIONS! Grr! I like pretty pages, ones with great graphics, ones with personality, ones with lovely photos and ones with engaging text.
Ok, enough ranting.
Basically, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'd be honoured to use my experience in websites and my utter devotion to ponies to help make the MLP Website Awards a success.
Ponies In The Mist

It's my pony site. Though smaller than some, I've worked hard to make it that little bit
different, and to grow it further than the regular "want, trade, sell, take
a look at my collection" to make it reflect my feelings about ponies and
myself.
I have more ideas for this site than I'll ever have time to follow through, but it's very special to me.
Areas I'm particularly proud of are:
- Pony Widower
- The PTC and POOP pages
- MLP Through History
- The flutter wing tutorial
But there's so much more that I want to do with this site. For example, this is version 2, and I'm working on a version 3 at the moment. And the schoolhouse section is set to expand. Once I get a minute. And there is some fanfic in the pipeline which I hope will make people laugh, if they're not too shocked...
If I could, I'd spend all day, every day, working on this site. But sadly, The Man says I have to have a job, a life, etc....
BBC South Yorkshire website

This is my work. I built this site, and was responsible for a lot of the design. In my opinion, it looks a little dated, but we aren't allowed a redesign just yet.
I write for the site, take photographs and manipulate the graphics in PhotoShop. I also edit and load the sound files. In short, everything you see on the site has been done by either myself or one of my two colleagues.
We're a small team, but we work really hard, and I'm proud of our work. I especially like the way that we go out of our way to meet the people to whom the site is aimed at, and try and represent them and their lives, as well as giving them content which interests and engages them.
Linnie and Ted's Website

This site hasn't been updated in a while, but when I wrote it, I was really pleased with it. I guess I've learnt so much more about Photoshop now, but I still like the character of the site.
