Webdesigner of the Year
Webdesigner of the year is chosen by both the Panel and the Public. As the name of this award suggests, Webdesigner of the Year honors the best webdesigner of the year. This person should have an impressive body of work while showing prowess and professionalism in all aspects of site design. *The Panel's cummulative decision will be worth 50% of the vote for this award. The remaining 50% of the vote will come from the Public.

Website of the Year [peoples' choice]
The Public will choose the best Website of the Year from all fields of webdesign. This is an award the encompasses every aspect imaginable that contributes to a superior webpage: content, presenation, HTML, graphics, importance, appeal, etc...

Website of the Year [technical] The Panel of experts will choose the best website from all fields of webdesign. As with all Technical awards, judging will naturally focus more on technical execution. Quality over popularity.

Best HTML in a Website
The Panel will decide with site from all those considered for the Awards has the best HTML coding. HTML is the computer language used to create websites.

Best Layout in a Website
Decided by the Panel, this award honors the website with the most effective layout. Focus will be given to physical presentation of content

Best Graphics in a Website
Decided by the Panel, this award honors the most effective graphics in a webpage.

Homepage of the Year[peoples' choice] A "Homepage" is a website with several to many different sections, mainly consisting of attributes or opinions of the page designer. A site, for example, that contains a person's want/trade/sale list, information about collections, sections that include fanfiction/rants/photographs, etc.. quaifies as a Homepage. Homepages tend to consist of many focuses or goals. They aim to be all-encompassing. Most pages in the My Little Pony Community fall into this category. Homepages may sometimes have many seperate sections that, if intended to also stand alone, can be placed in different categories.

Homepage of the Year [technical] Homepage of the year, as choosen by the Panel, focusing on technical proficiency and execution.

Infortmative Website of the Year [peoples' choice] An "Informative" website is one that offers information to the My Little Pony Community. A collector's guide, a Links center, or a library archiving original Hasbro stories are some examples.

Themed Website of the Year [peoples' choice] A "Themed" website is one that has a very specific and singular focus, yet does not center around barter or informative goals. A website presenting a series of fanfiction or contests are examples. The My Little Pony Awards would fit neatly into this category were it able to be considered.

Community Website of the Year A "Community" website is one whose main purpose is to cater to the My Little Pony community. Message Boards, Role Playing Games, Galleries, Contests, etc... There is only a technical aspect to this classification of webpages, as openning up voting to Peoples' Choice would simply be the equivelant of a head count. Whichever community site has the most number of exlusive members would always win.
